I have seen this parked in other area around Edmonton. As ugly (and an eyesore) as they are, they know the laws and follow them. It's a cheap way of advertising.

Hope you’re enjoying the weekend. Just wondering about this roaming “billboard” in the neighbourhood. It was parked on Buchanan by the dog park for several days, and then on Burley for 5 or six days. Now I see it’s back on Buchanan. I know bylaw was out to tag it on Burley but that’s only effective after 72 hours of it not having been moved. It’s really no different than putting up a big sign outside somewhere on a residential street. Any thoughts?

About the Crier

The Edmonton Crier Announcement System was created to make residents aware of issues that concern all of surrounding areas of Riverbend, Terwillegar and Windermere. Issues include crime awareness and community announcements and any other news worthy items. The Crier concept is based on the idea of the old town crier of medieval England. The town crier would walk the streets ringing his bell, shouting "Hear Ye, hear Ye", followed by an important community announcement. Please tell your neighbours about this group and have them join.
