Note from Harold: Those of you that have been part of the Crier for a long time will remember Sgt Larry Langley from the EPS. He made a huge impact on the popularity of the Crier giving us the inside scoop on crime in Brookview and the surrounding area, even asking us in help in finding stolen vehicles and missing people. He retired many years ago from the EPS. I could never find anyone to take his place. I see from the poster that he is one of the candidates for councillor in our ward.

About the Crier

The Edmonton Crier Announcement System was created to make residents aware of issues that concern all of surrounding areas of Riverbend, Terwillegar and Windermere. Issues include crime awareness and community announcements and any other news worthy items. The Crier concept is based on the idea of the old town crier of medieval England. The town crier would walk the streets ringing his bell, shouting "Hear Ye, hear Ye", followed by an important community announcement. Please tell your neighbours about this group and have them join. The Crier is operated and controlled solely by Brookview resident Harold Hornig.
