Thank you from GHL School

To the Brookview Community:

As we approach the last month of the school year I want to take a moment to thank all families for the support you give to our school community. Your support of school initiatives, such as “Gifts of Luck” and “Coats for Kids” make such a difference. I would also like to thank you for the care and attention drivers within the community demonstrate to our students. As you know there are many families, students, and parents walking, biking and driving to the school. Keeping everyone safe is a community effort and we are grateful to you all.

We have over the last few years implemented many measures to reduce traffic congestion

around the school including: meeting spot signs for families, reserving the drive through lane for

yellow bus and daycare only, encouraging students to walk/bike in the good weather, increased supervision, and using AMA student patrollers. We know the area around the school is very busy and we appreciate and thank you for your diligence in helping students get safely to and from school.

We also thank you for the emails and comments about recognizing the effort the school makes to ensure the safety of everyone within the community.

As you travel through the community during this last month of school, please remember that many students are crossing Bulyea Road to get to school. Please stop at crosswalks and wait for students to cross. The drive-thru in front of the school is reserved for school buses only.  The area around the school is very busy and we appreciate your patience while waiting in backed up traffic to ensure our students get safely into school.

Thank you for watching out for our students!  Community partnerships have always been the cornerstone of GHL and we thank you for your diligence, generosity and kindness as we work together to keep our students and school community safe.

Enjoy the beautiful weather we are experiencing! We wish you and your families a wonderful summer whether you are traveling afar or enjoying the summer months in this wonderful community!

Yours in partnership,

Debra Miellke

Principal
